During their visit, Gonvarri Material Handling (GMH) heads toured the new production and test lab, which was acquired in 2021, and has been completely modernized and expanded.
The facility has a dedicated, spacious location for Dexion’s testing lab. It is also home to parts production for our new VLM (vehicle lift module) storage machine – a space-saving storage system, which allows staff to quickly and efficiently pick orders - and has up-to-date facilities for our employees.
Among the party touring the facility were GMH’s CEO Sergio Rodriguez, Chief Technical Officer Brian Howson and Chief Operating Officer Gerhard Schwager. Also visiting were General Manager for the Benelux region Roy Nas, Nordics region General Manager Fredrik Henriksson, and KREDIT General Manager Petr Sevcik.
As well as viewing the new facilities, they were able to meet the team who oversaw the improvement works.

Brian added: “The newly modernized base in Rasnov is the ideal location for a European operation for Gonvarri Material Handling, and shows our commitment to the region.”
In the last year, our facility at Rasnov has expanded by 35% (13,700m2), and is now one of GMH’s main pallet racking production, product development and engineering sites in Europe.
The expansion came thanks to the acquisition of a new building, which has been extensively refurbished and modernized. Insulation and lighting systems have been changed using ecological materials and the most modern technologies to provide an ergonomic, safe and environmentally-friendly workspace for employees.
Upgrades included the insulation of 450 sqm of wall space; insulation of 485 sqm of office wall space; installation of Schrack Technik Arktur Eco II 100W LED High Bay lights; and the replacement of 230 watt incandescent bulbs with100 Watt LEDs.
Also at Rasnov is our much-expanded testing centre, which enables us to oversee in-house, the quality control for all our components, from across the entire product range. This ensures safety remains uncompromised and we are fully compliant with European Norm EN15512.
Our components are regularly subjected to stringent quality control tests using state-of-the-art technology, operated by highly trained technicians.
Our testing centre is integral to our high standards and workmanship of our products, where we continually innovate new products and improve existing ones.
Also, we’re delighted that parts for our new VLM storage machines are being manufactured at our Rasnov facility. The automatic storage system can save our customers 70% on existing floor space, reduce picking errors by up to 70% and decrease picking time by more than 60%.
Computer-controlled, the vertical or horizontal storage machines easily integrate with existing warehouse management systems, but also operate effectively as a standalone solution.
