Andrew Leese has been welcomed as the new Vice President at SEMA

Congratulations to Andrew Leese, MD of Constructor Group UK, who has been appointed the new Vice President for SEMA (Storage Equipment Manufacturers' Association), the British trade body for the Storage Equipment Industry.

SEMA first launched in 1968. Since then, it has forged an excellent reputation as the trade body for storage safety. SEMA aims to educate the industry on improving racking safety.  The association is proactive with the development of standards for the storage industry in the UK; it also develops and influences National and European Codes of Practice to ensure guidelines are met for the design, supply and installaltion of all variations of storage equipment.

Andrew LeeseConstructor Group UK are long standing members of SEMA and now honoured to have Andrew Leese as Vice President. It provides the perfect opportunity to add another voice to the cause. With safety such a key priority within the warehousing and logistics industry, this is a chance to inspire new ideas and to continue to ensure safe, efficient storage is carried out and installed across the UK and beyond.

Andrew will be supporting Matt Grierson the newly elected president of SEMA.

"I was both surprised and delighted to be asked to be VP of SEMA. I have been on the Council for the last 3 years and know first-hand how SEMA is trying to improve safety standards within the industry. I hope I can add another voice at management level to promote and develop SEMA's objectives and values." Andrew responded in answer to the recent announcement.

With this role, Andrew will be another addition from the Constructor Group UK family to have an active role within SEMA. They also have active involvement on the Technical Committee, providing many years of knowledge and experience to guide the next generation in racking safety. Further demonstrating Constructor Group UK's stance as experts in warehouse logistic solutions.

SEMASafety is crucial for this industry, from the design and proper installation procedures to promoting care and vigilance when it comes to working with racking and shelving systems. Constructor Group UK take these matters seriously and now can provide an extra voice to represent their work and commitment for premium quality materials and solutions whilst adhering to the safety standards implemented by SEMA.
